Our Founding Story

Meet Our Director & Founder, Sze Chen...
Sze Chen Cheong, is a distinguished choral conductor, educator and voice specialist with over 30 years of experience in teaching piano, voice, and music education.
Well sought after for her expertise in designing and leading transformative singing and choral programs, she has guided singers from ages as young as four, up to international recognition— with several students earning choral scholarships at Eton College, St. John’s College, and The Pilgrims’ School in the UK, as well as placements in leading Singapore choirs through the Direct School Admission (DSA) program.
Her work extends beyond performance into voice rehabilitation and public speaking, where she empowers individuals to unlock their potential through music-making, self-awareness, and a science-informed approach.
A member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and the Ontario Music Educators’ Association, Sze Chen studied her Master’s in Voice Pedagogy at Westminster Choir College. She further refined her choral conducting at the Advanced Choral Conducting Institute, Eastman School of Music, and most recently attended the Acoustic Voice Pedagogy course — reflecting her dedication to remaining at the forefront of vocal pedagogy and her belief in lifelong learning.
"'As a mother of six, I passionately believe that everyone can sing. And I am dedicated to making music more accessible, empowering, and joyful for all.”

Saints Studio is a one-stop experiential learning centre offering a uniquely integrated ecosystem built around two distinct learning pathways — designed to nurture confident learners, expressive communicators, and deeply connected communities through meaningful, hands-on education.
Our STEAM Programs unify STEM with Arts-integrated learning for ages 7–16. Through an interdisciplinary approach rooted in hands-on making, real-world exploration, and creative problem-solving, young learners develop essential 21st-century skills for the future of work while building confidence, curiosity, and a genuine joy for learning.
Our Voice & Singing Development Programs are grounded in science-backed, evidence-based pedagogy that supports learners of all ages. From young beginners to advanced singers and working professionals, we guide individuals and groups in meeting their unique vocal needs — building healthy technique, strengthening musicality, improving stamina, and enhancing expressive communication.
We are also home to Everyone Can Sing, a welcoming choral community for all ages, designed to celebrate the joy of collective music-making and deepen connections with our local community. Through collaborative repertoire and healthy vocal foundations, participants of all experience levels and ages are invited into a supportive and joyful shared space.
From STEAM programs to voice coaching and our community choir, Saints Studio celebrates connection, collaboration, and the joy of lifelong learning at our very core. All our programs bridge STEM and the Arts, creating meaningful learning experiences that inspire creative thinking and deep understanding for every age and every voice.
